WINDSOR, Vt. (WCAX) - One very good officer in Vermont is getting a new outfit.
K-9 Kye joined the Windsor County Sheriff’s Office in December. She will soon get a bullet and stab-proof vest thanks to a donation from Vested Interest K9s, Inc. The nonprofit provides protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement agencies throughout the country. It has outfitted more than 5,000 K-9s with body armor. Pe Ballistic Material

Kye is expected to get her protective vest in 8 to 10 weeks.
